Weight loss delivery

Delivery solves portions. It doesn't solve the evening.

Portion-controlled meals arriving at your door remove one real variable: how much ends up on the plate. They don't touch the thing that undoes most weight-loss attempts, which is what happens between dinner and bed.

First, the honest framing

What and how much to eat for weight loss depends on your body, your health, your medication and your history. This page is general information about food delivery and cooking, not medical or dietary advice, and nothing here will cause weight loss on its own. If you have a medical condition, take medication, are pregnant, or have any history of disordered eating, talk to a doctor or registered dietitian before changing how you eat.

With that said, here's what the services actually do.

What portion-controlled delivery genuinely fixes

  • Portion size. The single most common reason a home-cooked "healthy" meal isn't. A tray arrives with the amount in it that the label says.
  • Decision fatigue at 6pm, which is when most plans collapse into whatever is fast.
  • Calorie visibility. The number is on the box rather than estimated afterwards.

Factor is the main prepared-meal service with calorie-targeted menus. Roughly $11–15 per serving.

What it doesn't fix

The evening. Most people's deficit doesn't break at dinner, it breaks at ten o'clock. A 500-calorie tray that leaves you unsatisfied is followed by 600 calories of whatever is in the cupboard, and the delivery didn't help.

That's a satiety problem, not a portion problem. Protein and food volume are what fix it — a large plate of protein and vegetables beats a small dense tray at the same calorie count, nearly every time.

Everything that isn't dinner. Breakfast, lunch, drinks and snacks are usually where the surprise lives.

The habit. When the subscription stops, nothing has been learned about cooking or portioning. The research on sustained weight loss keeps pointing at behaviours you keep doing, not interventions you buy for twelve weeks.

The cost, per week

Five dinners for one person: roughly $55–75 delivered, versus roughly $20–35 planned and cooked. Over a year the gap is substantial, which matters because sustainable change is measured in years.

A reasonable middle

Use delivery for the weeks that are genuinely impossible, and cook the rest from a plan that's protein-forward and high in vegetable volume. The planner will build that free, aim dinners at a calorie target you set, and keep the protein high enough that the evening doesn't undo it.

What we are

We don't deliver food, and we don't sell a weight-loss programme. We plan weeks and build grocery lists. The links here are plain links to those companies.

Questions people ask

Does weight loss food delivery work?

It reliably solves portion control and decision fatigue at dinner. It doesn't address evening eating, meals other than dinner, or what happens when the subscription ends. It is not a treatment and nothing here is medical advice.

How much does weight loss meal delivery cost?

Roughly $11–15 per serving, so about $55–75 a week for five dinners for one person. Planning and cooking the same week runs roughly $20–35.

Why do I still get hungry on portioned meals?

Usually satiety rather than calories. Protein and food volume drive fullness, so a large plate of protein and vegetables generally holds better than a small dense tray at the same calorie count.

Is this medical advice?

No. It's general information about meal delivery and cooking. Speak to a doctor or registered dietitian about your own needs, particularly with a medical condition, during pregnancy, or with any history of disordered eating.

Can I combine delivery with cooking?

Yes, and it's usually the more sustainable pattern — delivery for the impossible weeks, cooking from a plan the rest of the time, which also keeps the cost down over a year.
